Justin Holiday is one of the four children of former basketball professionals Shawn Holiday and Toya Holiday.

Both of his parents are professional basketball players who played for Arizona State. His mother, Toya, was titled Pac-10 Player of the Year in 1982.

Justin was raised in Mission Hills, California, with three of his siblings. He is the oldest child among all three siblings.

High School Career

Justin Holiday went to Campbell Hall School in Studio City, California.

Holiday averaged 19.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per game as a senior. His impressive numbers led Campbell Hall to a 33-1 record and the state class IV championship.

College Career

Justin Holiday played for Washington Huskies in his freshman season. 

He was appointed to the 2010 Pac-10 All-Defensive Team in his junior season. In 21 starts of his 34 games, he scored 5.9 points, 1.8 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 22 minutes per game.

Similarly, he was named the Washington Huskies ‘ co-captain along with Isaiah Thomas.

Subsequently, he was named the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year by Netscouts Basketball. 

Okapi

After Justin was undrafted in the 2011 NBA draft, he signed with Okapi Allstar of Belgium in August 2011.

He played for the Okapi alongside future NBA player Chris Copeland for the 2011-2012 season.

Idaho Stampede

Justin joined the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 2012 NBA Summer League in July 2012.

He was waived by the Cavaliers later and joined Portland Trail Blazers. And then again, Blazers waived him as well.

In October 2012,  Justin Holiday was acquired by the Idaho Stampede 

He debuted for Idaho, recording 15 points and six rebounds against Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Philadelphia 76ers

Holiday signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in April 2013. He debuted by recording two points and two rebounds in seven minutes against Charlotte Bobcats.

He was named to the All-NBA D-League Third Team and All-Defensive Second Team in April.

Szolnoki Olaj

He signed with Szolnoki Olaj of Hungary for the 2013-2014 season in July 2013. 

He amassed 12.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in around 19 leagues.

Golden State Warriors

Holiday teamed up with the Golden State Warriors for the NBA Summer League in July 2014. He scored a career-high 23 points against the Denver Nuggets in March 2015.

Justin clinched his first NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors. He with team defeated Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2015 NBA Finals and earned the championship title.

Atlanta Hawks

He inked a multi-year contract with the Atlanta Hawks in July 2015.

He made his season debut and recorded two points in 13 minutes off the bench against New York Knicks.

Chicago Bulls

Justin was traded to the Chicago Bulls in a three-team, including the Hawks and the Utah Jazz, in February 2016.

In March 2016, Justin scored 14 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two blocks against Miami Heats in 38 minutes of performance.

New York Knicks

Holiday was traded in a 2017 second-round draft pick to the New York Knicks. He scored a season-high 20 points against the Phoenix Suns.

Return to Chicago Bulls

Justin Holiday returned to Chicago Bulls in July 2017. He made his career-best three pointers and scored 25 points in a win over Miami Heat.

Justin was 4-of-13 from 3-point range, which was his 31st straight game. He made three pointers and tied Kirk Hinrich for the longest streak in team history. He broke the record the next day.

Memphis Grizzlies

The holiday was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for MarShon Brooks Wayne Selden Jr.

He notched a career-high 30 points against the Dallas Mavericks.

Indiana Pacers
