Jazz coach Quin Snyder steps down 

Quin Snyder resigned from his position  as head coach of the Utah Jazz after eight seasons on Sunday, June 5 .

It revealed that  negotiations to extend his current contract with  Utah had not been fruitful.

Snyder finished his eighth season as head coach of the Jazz in 2021-22, and was advancing  the team to the Western Conference Semifinals in three of the six showings.

Quin Snyder led the Utah Jazz to six consecutive playoff appearances, was NBA coach of the year last season, and won nearly 60% of his games with the team.

He went 372-264 with the Jazz, his winning percentage of .585 ranking 18th-best among NBA coaches who have worked for at least that long.

Snyder was a four-time coach of the month, the most recent of those awards coming this past February.
