McKenna Carroll, a junior forward, led the Panthers (1-2) with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Delaney Nyenhuis, a fellow junior forward, contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds.
Kettle Moraine senior Grace Grocholski – a West Virginia commit – finished with a game-high 19 points.
In the first half, the Lasers outscored the Panthers 46-17. The second half ended with Oregon winning 31-25.
Monona Grove outscored Oregon 25-24 in the second half to maintain its nine-point halftime advantage.
The Panthers were led by sophomore guard Klara Tracy, who scored 14 points. On the night, she made four 3-pointers that were in Sam Schmitt, a junior guard, contributed eight points to the defeat. Along with 11 rebounds, two assists, three steals, and four points, Nyenhuis also had four points.
Brooklyn Tortorice of Monona Grove led the Silver Eagles with 13 points on 5 of 10 shooting. She was one of three Monona Grove players to score double figures, with Taylor Moreau and Karsyn Nelson each scoring ten points.
The Panthers' field goal percentage was restricted to only 28.1 percent.
