Ernst Has A Blurry Vision
Derek Ernst, at the age of 6, in grade two, suffered from an injury in his right eye. On Valentine’s Day, the golfer was making a present for his mother using a children’s tool to cut PVC pipe for a fence at his home.
In the process of making it, a piece of PVC pipe flew and hurt his right eye.
The 6-year-old Ernst needed 10 stitches. Eventually, Derek recovered but was left with weak depth perception, blurry vision, and scar tissue in the eye.
This didn’t stop the player from becoming a professional golfer. However, Ernst has mentioned that he gets asked a lot about which course changes he needs to make to take into consideration his blurry vision.
But the player says that he does not need any procedure. In an interview, the golf star covered his left eye and said that it gets blurry only if he does that.
