Finn Winning, a former Oxford Hills High School football player, tragically passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025.

While his death has been reported as a suicide, there has been no confirmed statement from his family or any official authority.

Standing at 5’11” and weighing 230 lbs, Finn Winning was known for his big smile, bright future, and incredible talent on the football field.

Finn Winning Played For The School’s Junior Varsity Football Team!

Finn Winning was a multi-sport athlete at Oxford Hills High School, actively involved from 2021 until 2023.

Winning was a member of the Class of 2024 at Oxford Hills High School in South Paris, Maine.

He played for the school’s junior varsity football team starting in 2021, proudly wearing jersey #68, and was also a part of the junior varsity squad.

He was a standout defensive lineman for the Oxford Hills Vikings, making significant contributions to the team’s success.

In his very first season, he earned First Team Defense All-State honors as a defensive lineman and played a key role in helping his team win the 2022 Class A Championship.

Additionally, he also participated in boys’ lacrosse during his time at Oxford Hills, wearing jersey number 24.

Sadly, Finn Winning passed away by suicide, leaving behind friends, family, and teammates devastated by the sudden loss.

Suicide has taken another life in our community. A young man, friend, son, and brother. His smile so big. His future so bright…

For those that may not be aware, our extended community and football fraternity lost another soul this Sunday. Finn Winning, Oxford Hills Viking student & athlete alum, passed away on Sunday.
