In that respective post, she revealed that one of her sons, Santiago, had to undergo unexpected surgery for intussusception the day after her son turned four.
Later, the doctor discovered a mass that was later found to be Burkitt Lymphoma. Over the following months, he bravely went through chemotherapy, never losing his joy.
Nikki further shared how grateful she and her family are for the incredible care and love they received from the members of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.
In 2023, Erik and Nikki filed for divorce after seven years of marriage.
Despite the separation, both Erik and Nikki have emphasized co-parenting and maintaining a supportive environment for their kids.
