Jeff Van Gundy’s father, Bill Van Gundy, is the former head coach at SUNY Brockport and at Genesee Community College.
Jeff Van Gundy’s absence from ESPN’s NBA broadcasts has left a significant void, particularly during the playoffs’ intense moments.
His chemistry with play-by-play announcer Mike Green was a hallmark of some of the best NBA coverage.
Since his dismissal two years ago, ESPN has struggled to find a stable replacement, moving through analysts like Doc Rivers, JJ Redick, and Richard Jefferson.
Some Twitter users have tweeted that Jeff should get back in the booth. One user wrote,
Reggie Miller and Stan Van Gundy…. This is truly a miserable listening experience. Get Jeff back in the booth.
