Recently, Georgia parent Quanna Jai posted on Facebook about an allegation involving Benton Harbor coach Corey Sterling, saying he is a man of good character.

Coach Corey Sterling has been with Benton Harbor basketball for over 20 years and is an alumnus of the same high school.

He graduated in 1995 and played on the 1993 State Runner-Up team. Sterling earned All-State honors, was a Class A All-Star, and a Big 8 Conference champion.

He later attended the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on a full basketball scholarship, earning his bachelor’s degree there.

Benton Harbor Coach Corey Sterling Faces Allegation, While His Georgia Community Supports Him, saying, “He’s Never Been That Guy, Ever”!

On October 29, 2025, a community member in Benton Harbor, Michigan, Quanna Jai, shared a post on Facebook alleging an incident involving Coach Corey Sterling.

In her post, she did not mention what allegation Coach Sterling is facing or what the incident involved.

However, she clearly stated that Coach Sterling is a man of character, has been a lifeguard for her children, and would never do such a thing.

Following her post, many other community members expressed similar support. One comment read:

Who said his name??? Because he been around us since elementary that ain’t never been an allegation!!!!!!!!

Another added;

Coach Sterling been a good person since I been in school

 literally! That man got years in this .. stamped! He’s never risking his life for no little girl!!!

While Coach Sterling has been an inspiration and a great coach for the community, there is no evidence that he is facing any allegations.

In addition to being a man of character, he has received numerous accolades, including 2013–14 District and Regional Champions, State Finalist (Runner-up), City of Benton Harbor Key to the City, WSJM Coach of the Year 2014–15, and many others.

Not only his achievements but also his ethics are praised by many community members, so the rumored allegation he is facing appears to be false at this time.
