Brandon Easley’s mother retrieved the mail minutes after an interview with FOX about her son, who was shot to death early Sunday morning.

Easley, an 18-year-old senior at Kipp Indy Legacy High School, was set to graduate next spring and pursue college basketball.

He’s just been chasing that basketball dream since he was a kid,” said Brandy Easley.

“Brandon loved fast cars. He didn’t carry weapons. He didn’t have a background. He’s never been arrested as a juvenile. He was just an 18-year-old, trying to be a student, trying to make it, trying to be successful.”

Security video from inside the store captured the chaos, showing a gun being pulled out and fired, shattering the windows near the display of the night’s winning lottery numbers.
