Grant M. Prather, who was proud to be the Honorary captain of the football team, has sadly passed away.
Grant was a sophomore at Carroll Jr. Sr. High School in Flora, where he was loved by all.

He loved to cook and enjoyed watching the Incredible Dr. Pol and Pioneer Woman on TV. He had a love for music of all kinds.
Grant was an active member of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church; he loved to attend to get a little Jesus in him, as he would say.

Halee Betzner, an assistant principal at Carroll High School, offered heartfelt condolences.
Grant left little drops of Heaven wherever he went. Years ago, I ran into Grant and his mom at a youth football game on a Saturday morning, right after Blake came to Carroll. At the time, we were pretty against moving the kids and felt so torn about where they would fit best, but it was my long conversation with Stephany and Grant that changed my heart. I remember telling Blake it was a God thing and that we officially needed to “come home.”

Other close ones and relatives have also poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Grant’s family to stay strong in this hard time.

Private Burial will follow at Center Cemetery near Young America.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Grant Prather Memorial Fund, c/o Carroll County Community Foundation, 215 W. Sycamore St., Kokomo, Indiana 46901.
