Seattle community mourns beloved Central District Panthers football coach Shawn Spinks Thomas, survived by wife Aisha and children

The Seattle, Washington, community is mourning the untimely death of beloved longtime coach and former athlete, Shawn Spinks Thomas.

Shawn Spinks Thomas passed away earlier this week due to a brain aneurysm. The family is currently grieving and has chosen not to release further details at this time, asking for privacy.

A native of Seattle, Washington, Shawn was a cherished member of the sports community and touched the lives of numerous young athletes with his remarkable coaching skills.

He served as the head football coach of Central District Panther Football, leading his team in several victories and winning numerous honorable titles.

CD Panther Football and Cheer took to its social media to pay tribute to late coach Shawn Spinks Thomas and wrote:

“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shawn Spinks Thomas. Coach Thomas “ST” Will be truly missed in our CD Football Community as well as our Football a community in general. Coach Thomas was a great man and role model for the hundreds of young lives he touched over the years in our community. ST was a real one, and he will be missed dearly. We are going to miss you coach, Rest Easy Champ. 🏁🕊️🩵🖤 #LLST”

Additionally, Shawn Thomas excelled in multiple sports while in high school.

His love for sports was immense. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and didn’t miss any of their games.

Beyond his sports journey, Shawn was a proud owner and CEO of EsTee’s Hotlink Corndogs.

His contribution to the Seattle, Washington, community as an amazing coach and his kind nature will always be remembered.

The untimely death of Coach Shawn Spinks Thomas has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Many of his loved ones are paying tribute to the late coach and sharing his memories on social media.

“RIH BRO 💯✌🏾Total respect for Shawn Spinks Thomas. We didn’t grow up together or really roll in the same circles, but our conversations regarding our family especially our children will be treasured Bro 💯Total respect and condolences to this great man’s family and love ones 🙏🏾”

Shawn Spinks Thomas is survived by his longtime wife, Aisha, childrens, Kamira, Jaeden, Rasaan, and Keelan Thomas, his uncles, aunts, cousins, numerous nephews and nieces, and the entire family.

Shawn Thomas was preceded in death by his loving mother, Anita Louise Spink,s aka Robin, who passed away in 2019.

Furthermore, Shawn raised his children to be amazing athletes. His sons, Jaeden, Rasaan, and Keelan, followed in his footsteps in sports, excelling in multiple sports.

Shawn Spinks Thomas’ family will soon provide details about his funeral and memorial services.
