Euphrasia “Anne” Corcoran, formerly of Port Jervis, New York, passed away on Saturday.

Anne was born on February 10, 1943, in Port Jervis, New York, to the late Francis and Cecelia (Urban) Mullaly.

She graduated from Vassar College of Nursing and dedicated over 50 years of her life to the nursing profession.

Euphrasia began her career as an emergency room nurse before transitioning to the school nurse and cheerleading coach position at Port Jervis High School, where she served the community for over 25 years.

After retiring from her position at the high school, Anne continued her passion for healthcare by teaching nursing at the College of Southern Nevada.

In 2003, she made Las Vegas her permanent home-a place that brought her joy and where she could enjoy three of her favorite things: bingo, church, and spending time with her family.

She was a devoted member of Christ the King Catholic Church, where she was active in the outreach ministry team and a proud member of the CTK Seniors Club.

Euphrasia “Anne” Corcoran of Las Vegas took her last breath on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the age of 82. However, the exact cause of death has not been revealed yet.

Laurie McGuinness, a co-owner/stylist at Garrett McGuinness Photography, took her official Facebook handle to announce and mourn the death of Anne. She wrote,

There will always be a special place in my heart for her. Some of my most favorite times of my life were spent with her.

Megan Talmadge McKinney, a graduate of Binghamton University, also mourned the loss. She wrote,

She had such a wonderful wry sense of humor – I always both feared and respected her as our coach (our roots!). She was a saint for the many summer cheerleading camps she endured with groups of spirited teenage girls!

Billy Sweeney, a volunteer at Helping Hounds Dog Rescue and analyst at The Hartford Insurance Group, also offered his heartfelt condolences. He wrote,

I’m fairly certain she was one of my Gram’s nursing students. Such an amazingly sweet and kind woman, Anne was. My gram always spoke so highly of her and said that she knew “her babies” were always in good hands with her if we ever needed anything at school. May she rest easily.

Other close relatives and family members have also extended their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Anne’s family, encouraging them to stay strong during this challenging time.

According to Anne’s family, a visitation and Catholic Blessing will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 East Main Street, Port Jervis, NY 12771.

Instead of flowers, the family requested a donation to the Marion Cooper Community Foundation, which supports scholarships for students at Port Jervis High School.

Euphrasia Anne Corcoran Is Survived By Her Two Children And Five Grandchildren

Cheerleading coach Euphrasia Anne Corcoran and her husband, whose identity has been kept private, were blessed with one son, Sean Corcoran, and one daughter, Sheilah Petrosky.

According to the source, Sheila served as a Family/Consumer Science teacher for the Clark County school District.

She was married to Jerry Petrosky of Las Vegas, NV. They share three children, Kayla, Lauren, and Ethan Petrosky.

Recently, Sheila took to her official Facebook handle to announce the death of her supportive and devoted mother, Anne. She wrote,

With a heavy and broken heart, I announce the passing of my mom.

On the other hand, Sean Corcoran and his wife share two children, Riley and Marissa Corcoran. Sean is also mourning the death of his mother.

Euphrasia is also survived by her five great-grandchildren: Chase, Julianna, Emma, Karter, and Aaliyah.
