Coach Kenny “Swinger” Nice was a beloved figure in the Del-Val League fraternity and a staple of the Somerton and Far Northeast Philadelphia sports community.

A 1971 graduate of George Washington High School, he was widely respected and well-traveled as a coach.

He was known for his dedication to semi-pro football and the lasting impact he had on players and peers alike.

His passing was acknowledged by the Del-Val Semi-Pro Football Alumni group, where many are mourning the loss of this one-of-a-kind mentor and friend.

His family members, friends, well-wishers, and loved ones continue to honor Kenny’s legacy through heartfelt memories and tributes.

One of his friends recalled playing alongside Kenny for a season with the Piccoli Spartans, saying:

I played with Ken 1 year for Piccoli Spartans one season, he went to Somerton and I went to Venango. Ken was a great guy and fb player we met again at work septa. RIP Ken.
