Archbishop Carroll High School in Dayton, Ohio, has dismissed head football coach Mike Pomfret, leaving the program without a leader just weeks before its 2026 season kicks off.
The school district confirmed the move on Monday, August 3, pointing to an unspecified incident that took place on the field during practice.
The trouble started the previous week when Pomfret was placed on administrative leave after something happened during the team’s acclimation session at Ohio Dominican University.
