Noah Elliott, a Paralympic snowboarder and amputee, recently won an ESPY Award, proving that disability doesn’t stop anyone from pursuing their dreams.
The 2018 Paralympic gold medalist, Noah Elliott, won the 2025 ESPY for “Best Athlete with a Disability” at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles, California, marking it as his first ESPY win and first nomination.
After winning his first-ever ESPY award, Elliott expressed his pride, stating:
I couldn’t be more proud, This is such an achievement. To be here representing adaptive sports andthe Para snowboard community–I couldn’t be more proud.”

He further added:
“I want you to know that I am a survivor and you can be one too, and there can be a life past cancer or disability.”
Noah Elliott, who grew up in St. Charles, Missouri, aiming to become a professional skateboarder, had to end his career following his disability.
At just age 15, after a skateboard event, Elliott felt some leg pain and was diagnosed with cancer, resulting in his left leg being amputated above the knee due to the osteosarcoma.
However, he found a new passion in snowboarding after going to Colorado on a trip for children with cancer, where he met Brenna Huckaby, a fellow osteosarcoma survivor.
Despite his disability, Noah Elliott never lost hope and continued to excel in his athletic career, standing as an example and motivation to several young athletes with disabilities.
Less than two years after his amputation, Elliott made his Paralympic debut at the Winter Paralympic Games PyeongChang 2018, winning two medals, including gold in banked Slalom and bronze in Snowboard cross.
In addition to being an accomplished snowboarder, Noah Elliott has also served as a professional speaker for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee for over seven years, reaching millions of people.

Noah Elliott is not only an amazing athlete but also a great family man and a proud single father to his teenage daughter, Skylar.
Furthermore, Noah often expresses his love and pride for his daughter, Skylar, and the father-daughter duo live an adventurous life, enjoying the outdoors, including camping and snowboarding.
In addition to being a great father to Skylar, Noah is also an amazing son to Darla Butler Ell.
