Adam Porter, a Wellington, Florida native and former wrestling standout, passed away on September 21, 2025, at an untimely age of 35.
While his family hasn’t yet disclosed the cause of his untimely death, many of his loved ones are paying tribute to the late Adam Porter and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
Adam Porter was a cherished member of the Florida community and touched the lives of many with his exceptional athletic skills and kind, cheerful nature.
Born on February 22, 1990, to the late father, William Porter, Jr., and mother, Christina, Adam Porter had an immense love for sports from a very young age, whether it was skateboarding, snowboarding, golfing, wrestling, or disc golf.
However, the sport he loved the most was wrestling. Adam Porter wrestled while attending Sun Valley High School, winning numerous honorable titles.
Adam Porter showcased his impressive athletic skills, wrestling for the Sun Valley High School wrestling team, the Vanguards, and led his team to several victories.
Porter competed primarily in the 171- and 189-pound weight classes.
During his senior season in 2007–2008, Porter demonstrated remarkable skill and consistency on the mat, achieving numerous victories against top opponents, including notable wins over wrestlers from Strath Haven, Pennridge, Unionville, and Upper Dublin.
He secured multiple pins, technical falls, and major decision wins throughout the season, contributing significantly to his team’s performance in sectional, district, and regional competitions.
Similarly, Porter consistently placed in his section and district tournaments, showcasing his determination and talent as a high school athlete.
He also had a passion for general fitness and weight lifting, and loved fishing and boating.
Adam Porter Later Pursued His Career as a Sales Account Executive
Although Adam Porter didn’t pursue his athletic journey professionally, he excelled in his career as a sales and account executive.
After earning his Bachelor’s degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2012, Adam Porter began working as a sales account executive at Sencore Diamond Blades & Equipment in West Palm Beach, Florida, a position he held until his recent passing.
Adam Porter was a devoted partner to his longtime partner, Bree Martin, and a great father to his son, Colton Porter.
He instilled his love and passion for sports in his son and spent most of his free time bonding and helping to perfect Colton’s athletic skills.
In addition to his partner and son, Adam Porter is survived by his mother, Christina Blohm; stepfather, Karl Blohm; siblings, William Porter III (Nikole), Cassandra Porter Llewellyn (Bruce), stepbrother, Karl Blohm Jr., stepsister, Jen O’Brien, grandmother, Doris Porter; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Avenue, Aston, PA 19014.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 12:30 p.m.
