The victim, 26-year-old Mason Lang Goins, was found unresponsive in the street near 1603 Church Street shortly after a deadly shooting that occurred on June 3.

Responding officers discovered he had been shot and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Lang, a former student at Beaver Area High School, was known for being part of the school’s wrestling team during the 2018–2019 season.

Competing in the 145 and 152-pound weight classes, he faced several skilled opponents and continued to show up on the mat.

Police say the suspect, also 26, has been identified as Nicholas Andrews.

He reportedly called 911 after the shooting and was taken into custody shortly afterward.

According to Ambridge Police Chief John Deluca, the two men were familiar with each other and had an ongoing dispute.

Charges are currently being prepared, and Andrews is expected to be taken to the Beaver County Jail soon.

Furthermore, DeAndre’ Lang shared a heartfelt tribute after learning about the tragic passing of his brother, Mason Lang-Goins.

Though they didn’t grow up together every day, DeAndre cherished the time they had like weekends filled with video games, football, wrestling around the house, and late nights playing Call of Duty and Madden, where Mason always seemed to have the upper hand.

As Mason grew older, DeAndre admired the man he became- a hardworking, dedicated, and loving father.

He spoke of Mason’s powerful impact on those around him and promised to keep his memory alive by being there for Mason’s son, Octavious.

I am heart broken, devastated and angry with the news from today. Words cannot express how much this hurts. I loved my brother. The memories I have with my brother I will always cherish. In our early years we didn’t grow up together but I always looked forward to those weekends in which I did get to see him. From the time where we stayed up all night playing video games. How he would whoop me in madden while using Michael Vick and the Falcons. To us teaming together in COD where he would often carry me to wins. To the times of playing football outside and wrestling around both in and out of the house. Watching him grow up and become a dedicated, hard working and loving father has been an inspiration. Mason you touched many lives. We always had each others backs and I will continue to have your back by watching over Octavious and carrying on your memory. I love ypu and will miss you more than you’ll ever know. Rest easy and tell Papa & Trevor that I miss them.

Rest in Peace, Mason Lang Goins
