John Fesh, a former Fort Myers youth soccer coach associated with the Gateway Soccer Association, was sentenced to life in prison for sex offenses but is now a free man.

According to a recent social media report, John Fesh, who was sentenced in 2019 to life in prison with an additional 10 years for sexually abusing a child, now freely lives near South Range School.

The now viral social media post revealed that Josh Fesh, a former youth soccer coach from Fort Myers, is now a free man after his life sentence was overturned.

In September 2021, Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal vacated his conviction, ruling that the trial judge had improperly allowed damaging testimony about uncharged misconduct.

The post added that rather than putting the victim through a new trial, Fesh struck a plea deal for sexual assault charges, effectively securing his freedom.

Similarly, in a surprising twist, he remains on the sex offender registry but has been released and is now living in Derry, New Hampshire.

The social media reporter expressed his outrage that what was once a life sentence has been wiped away due to a courtroom technicality, highlighting serious flaws in the legal system.

“The Sunshine State apparently washed its hands of him and shipped him straight to Derry, NH. Life sentence? Gone. Technicality? Check. Freedom? Double check. Just another reminder of how a broken system can turn a life sentence into a casual stroll around town thanks to one tiny courtroom error.”

The reporter further requested that parents in South Range be more careful, as John Fesh lives near the school area.

He wrote:

“South Range now has Dale on one side and John Fesh just a two-minute drive from the school on the other. That’s your new neighborhood combo platter of trouble. Keep your kids close and maybe invest in a little extra parental armor—because apparently, a Sunshine State “oops” can show up in your own backyard.”

As soon as the news of John Fesh, a former youth soccer coach, being free went viral, many expressed their outrage, stating that he should be kept behind bars for his inhuman actions back in 2014.

John Fesh Was Found Guilty For Molesting a Child Under His Custodial Authority

According to reports, John Fesh was sentenced to life in prison in a case involving his 2014 repeated molestation of a child.

In August 2019, John, then 41, was convicted after a three-day trial of sexual activity with a child by someone in a position of authority, as well as lewd or lascivious molestation.

According to an arrest report filed with the Lee County Clerk of Court, Fesh followed the child into a bedroom, locked the door, and asked her to disrobe and molested her.

Similarly, a recent social media post claiming that John Fesh is free revealed that the victim was his stepdaughter.

He also stated that court documents show his own daughter testified she walked in on Fesh in the act while his stepdaughter begged her for help.

John Fesh was also sentenced to an additional ten years in prison, followed by five years of sex offender probation for one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation to be served consecutively.
