Gunther Unleashed His Anger On WWE Raw After Losing The World Heavyweight Championship!
Gunther‘s actions on WWE Raw after WrestleMania 41 caused quite the uproar.
Frustrated after losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Jey Uso, he targeted the announce team.
He first stormed over to the announce table on WWE Raw and confronted Michael Cole, likely because of Cole’s commentary on his loss.
Gunther shoved Cole and even attempted to choke him out before Pat McAfee stepped in to defend him.
That’s when Gunther turned his aggression toward McAfee, choking him out instead for nearly a minute.
McAfee later revealed that he lost consciousness and experienced pain in his neck, initially fearing a serious injury like a C2 or C3 vertebral issue.
Furthermore, he shared how he felt at that time, saying:
I certainly lost consciousness, as the entire world watched on. Shout-out to the boys jumping the barricade. I do have some questions, all that security is focused on the boys, I’d be focused too. Ty was going to get some. Boston Connor was going to naw on an Achilles. DBone actually puked ringside. He almost ran through four to five different guys. I appreciate you guys getting in there as I was blindsided trying to stick up for Michael Cole as the Austrian asshole attacked me.”
Fortunately, after being checked at a Las Vegas medical facility, he was cleared of any significant damage.
Besides, McAfee assured fans that he’s ready for whatever comes next and emphasized that Gunther won’t get away with his actions.
@WWE @RAWWWE needs to fire Gunther. Not a fine, not a slap on the wrist. Because what he did to @PatMcAfeeShow and @MichaelCole is completely unacceptable. Adult actions come with adult consequences. Maybe being on the unemployment line may humble Gunther’s ass!

Additionally, WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has assured that Gunther will face consequences, which could range from hefty fines to suspension, or even being fired from Raw.
While some also speculate that WWE might use this controversy to fuel future storylines at WWE Backlash 2025, possibly to a match between Gunther and McAfee.
For now, Gunther remains a WWE Superstar, but his future on Raw is uncertain.
