Jonas Valanciusnas, a Lithuanian professional basketball player, married Eglė Ačaitė at the rural tourism homestead “Karpynė” in the Raseiniai district in 2013.
Egle is three years older than Jonas, and they have two children. She is one of the biggest supporters of her husband’s athletic career.
Jonas began playing professional basketball for Perlas in 2008 and participated in the Lithuanian National Basketball League (NKL) during the 2008-09 season.
Later, he moved to Lietuvos Rytas, where he won the 2010 Lithuanian Basketball Federation LKF Cup. He was named the FIBA European Young Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013.
