Pete Carroll, the Super Bowl-winning coach, had a short-lived marriage with his ex-wife Wendy Pearl, which ended in divorce just two years after their marriage.
Just a year after his divorce in 1975, he was married for a second time, to Glena Goranson. They met at the University of the Pacific initially.
The couple has crossed the Golden Jubilee and has three Children together: Brennan, Jaime, and Nathan. Brennan and Nathan are football coaches, whereas Jaime is a filmmaker/content producer.
Pete has always been a key figure in their children’s growth and coaching, and has even thanked his family for what he has achieved in his career and as a coach.
Coaching History and Time at the Raiders with his Sons
Pete has coached numerous teams over his coaching career, which exceeds fifty years. Just as a head coach, he has more than three decades of experience.
The 74-year-old’s career as a head coach started in 1994 for the New York Jets; before that, he served as a defensive coordinator/coach for the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, and Jets as well.
The majority of his career success came at USC Trojans between 2001 and 2009, when he coached the team to win seven straight Pac-10 championships, two national championships, and a great win rate.
After that, he coached the Seattle Seahawks for fourteen seasons until 2023, and even won the Super Bowl XLVIII by battering the Broncos 43-8 in the 2013 season.
He finished with a regular-season record of 137–89–1 and a playoff record of 10–9 with Seattle.
Pete is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, becoming the oldest one in NFL history. He is also assisted by his sons, Brennan and Nathan.
Brennan serves as the team’s offensive line coach. The 46-year-old recently coached the Arizona Wildcats as well and has a decent coaching history.
On the other hand, Nathan brings over 15 years of experience and works as an Assistant quarterbacks coach.
