Leigh Weber Hart, a High Bridge, New Jersey resident and renowned cheer coach, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at an untimely age of 46, leaving her family, friends, and loved ones devastated.

The untimely death of Leigh Hart came after her long and courageous battle with cancer.

Leigh was diagnosed with stage IV Colorectal Cancer on June 4, 2022, at the age of 42, and she recently underwent a CRS with HIPEC surgery; however, despite her years-long courageous battle, she couldn’t survive.

Furthermore, the untimely death of Leigh Hart has left a profound void in the lives of her loved ones.

She touched the lives of many with her brave and kind nature, as well as her coaching skills.

Leigh Hart served as the cheer coach for the Hunterdon Huskies, a premier travel football and cheer league, and an all-volunteer non-profit organization based in High Bridge, NJ.

Hunterdon Huskies took to its official social media to pay tribute to their longtime coach and wrote:

“Huskies hearts are heavy tonight as we remember our Coach Leigh Hart who passed away late last night. Those who knew her will remember her contagious laugh and dedication to her daughters cheering with the Huskies. We will miss you Coach Leigh 💙🖤🤍.”

Late Leigh Hart Worked at New Jersey American Water for Over 25 Years

In addition to her coaching career, Leigh Hart also won the heart of many with her over 25-year career at New Jersey American Water.

She joined the company as a customer service representative and billing in 2000 and was soon promoted to training coach.

Leigh also served as the field resource coordinator, system administrator, and operations specialist before beginning her role as a supervisor.

With her remarkable work, Leigh became the Jr. Operations Supervisor at New Jersey American Water in 2008. After serving in this position for two years, she was promoted to Senior Operations Supervisor in 2010.

Similarly, Leigh served in her position as senior supervisor for 12 years and became the operations project manager in 2021.

From 2023 until her recent passing, Leigh Hart served as the senior superintendent of operations.

Born on June 27, 1979, at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ, as the only daughter of father Mark Weber and late mother Dale Weber, Leigh grew up in Cranford, NJ.

She graduated from Cranford High School in 1997 and earned her BA in economics from Douglas College at Rutgers University in 2002.

Similarly, she received her MBA from Centenary University.

Leigh Hart was not just known for her career and kind nature but also as a devoted wife to her longtime husband, Mike Hart, and a great mother to her three daughters, Dublin, Gia, and Ainsley.

She instilled her athletic genes in all three of her daughters, who are all exceptional cheerleaders.

In addition to her husband and three daughters, Leigh Hart is survived by her father, Mark Weber, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and loved ones.

Leigh Hart was preceded in death by her mother, Dale Weber, and her first husband, Steven Perez.

Visitation to honor Leigh’s life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Scarponi-Bright Funeral Home, 26 Main Street, Lebanon, NJ. Interment will be private.
