Michael Macdonald, the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL), has been married to Stephanie Macdonald since 2021. They recently announced their pregnancy on September 7, 2024.
Mike said on Seattle’s Morning News via MyNorthwest.com that he and Stephanie were having a son, expected to arrive in December 2024.
Born June 26, 1987, Mike Macdonald started his career by coaching high school football at Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Georgia.
He has also worked as the assistant coach for the Baltimore Ravens from 2022 to 2023.
Stephanie Macdonald Had Her Own Cheerleading Journey In The NFL
Despite gaining popularity as the ‘head coach’s wife’, Stephanie has spent eight years as a cheerleader for three different NFL teams—the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens, and Washington Commanders.

There were several thrilling opportunities throughout her journey as an NFL cheerleader, including the Pro Bowl.
She was selected as a Ravens Pro Bowl cheerleader in 2014 and was given the chance to sing the national anthem before to a Commanders game.
Stephanie said that she will never forget the experience of being on FedExField and singing for 70,000 people.
She met Mike that same year when Mike was a coaching intern under Ravens head coach John Harbaugh.
Before moving to Seattle, Stephanie also used to sing on Sundays at a nearby church before rushing to the M&T Bank Stadium home games.
During Mike’s introductory press conference for the Seattle Seahawks, Mike took the time to thank important people in his life. He started off by expressing his gratitude to Stephanie and giving her the praise she deserves.
He mentioned,

The Macdonalds have been quite adventurous during their time together and ticking off all the big life things in one year including moving across the country, getting a new job and starting a family, just in a span of 10 months.
Mike Macdonald Has An Incredible Coaching Career
Mike Macdonald graduated with finance degree but his love of coaching led him to make a decision to change his career path.
Macdonald began coaching as a graduate assistant in May, 2010 at the University of Georgia.
He joined Mark Richt’s coaching staff with the Georgia Bulldogs football program.
In 2013, he graduated with a master’s degree in sport management while coaching there.
Mike Macdonald has also worked with the Baltimore Ravens. He worked under John Harbaugh from 2014 to 2020.
He joined the University of Michigan in 2021 as defensive coordinator.
Macdonald led the Wolverines to a top-10 defense, winning the Big Ten title and earning a College Football Playoff spot.

In 2022, Macdonald returned to the Baltimore Ravens as defensive coordinator.
On January 31, 2024, Macdonald was hired as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks and became the youngest head coach in the NFL, succeeding Pete Carroll.
