Born on February 22, 1971, in Cincinnati, Scott grew up playing baseball on local fields. His talent as a pitcher shone early, leading him from Oak Hills High School to the University of Cincinnati, and eventually to the Major Leagues.

Drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in 1992, Scott lived his dream of pitching for his hometown team, debuting in 1994 at Riverfront Stadium.

He also played for teams like the Chicago Cubs and Colorado Rockies, appearing in over 50 MLB games between 1994 and 1998.

After his MLB career, Scott returned to Cincinnati, where he coached youth baseball and mentored young players.

He shared his love for the game, teaching kids not just how to pitch, but how to play with heart and dedication.

Off the field, Scott was a devoted family man and a loyal friend who made everyone feel seen, heard, and at home.

He loved Cincinnati and stayed connected to his roots, giving back through coaching and supporting local sports.
