Mike “Mustang” Montgomery, a 3rd-degree black belt martial artist, passed away in a plane crash on October 8, 2025.
He was alongside two other agricultural business brothers, Stanley and Clark.

Mustang has built a diverse, successful career. His journey began with service to his country, during which he spent six years in the U.S. Army.
Later, he entered the world of agriculture, starting as an assistant breeder of winter wheat at AgriPro Wheat in March 1996. He developed an entrepreneurial spirit and operated his own business, Goin’ Postal of Walnut Ridge, in June 2005.
He had been a prominent figure in the crop insurance industry for many years, holding management roles at Rabo Agrifinance and Farm Credit Mid-America. Later, he was promoted to Regional Vice President in 2023.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mustang was a dedicated martial artist and active member of the Allied Tang Soo Do Federation, having served for 17 years.

He was a loving husband and a wonderful father to his two daughters.
He set a powerful example for his family members and for every young person he mentored, demonstrating the values of integrity, respect, and kindness.
Moreover, he was a “Man’s Man” in the truest sense, characterized by his profound integrity and unwavering commitment to prioritizing people over business.
His presence was a gift to all who knew him. He was a genuinely wonderful person, a mentor, and a friend who made a lasting impact on his community.
His absence left a profound void, and he will be missed more than words can express.
Mike and I immediately became close and grew closer and closer as we saw God’s plan being revealed as to “why” he crossed our paths and formed this Godly relationship.

We both were going through some simular adversity and we needed each others shoulders and ears to lean on a lot more than we needed to discuss crop insurance.

He lived with a gentleman’s grace, and his memory will forever be a blessing.
The Montgomery family will soon announce the details regarding a service to celebrate Mustang’s life at a later date.
