The Oklahoma Wesleyan University assistant men’s basketball coach, Thomas Poling, has tragically passed away.

According to Thomas’s LinkedIn profile, he graduated from Flagler College. He served as a coach and teacher at the New Bedford Public School.

From August 2007 to July 2008, he served as the golf instructor at Total Golf Adventures.

For over 1 year and 9 months, he was a marketing and sales representative at Vision Star Inc.

He served as the head coach at the Bowmen Sports from August 2013 to September 2020.

From October 2017 to September 2020, he was a basketball skills trainer and mentor at the Hope Through Hoops and head basketball coach at the Worthy Elite AAU Basketball team.

He was also the founder of the LIVE LIKE JOSH 3 ON 3 Basketball Tournament.

Then, Thomas served as the assistant men’s basketball coach at Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

As per the reports, assistant coach Thomas Poling has passed away. The cause of death has not been revealed yet.

Amanda Quary, a graduate of Maryville University, took to her official Facebook handle and announced the tragic news. She wrote,

RIP Coach! Please be in prayers for OKWU campus and basketball team! I spoke to this man monthly during our recruiting process and we just text about 2 weeks ago. I truly believe he was a big reason for Ben being offered. He will be a big loss to the team and campus.

Edward Pierce took to the comment section and sent a prayer to the entire Oklahoma basketball family. He wrote,

His family will soon reveal the funeral service schedule. He will always be remembered for his unforgettable contribution as a coach.

Thomas Poling Is Survived By His Wife And Three Kids

As per the source, assistant coach Thomas Poling and his wife had one son and two daughters after moving to Dallas in 1995.

All of their kids are active in sports. Thomas also coached on several teams for all of his kids.

However, the identities of his wife and kids have been kept private. They are currently mourning the loss of Thomas Poling.
