Yet another troubling public appearance by NBA star Delonte West has caught the attention. This time, he was shirtless and dancing. A fan gave him $20.

Former professional basketball player Delonte Maurice West once caught the media’s attention with his exceptional basketball skills and gameplay.

Now, his news is often reported in relation to his troublesome behavior, trespassing, and rumors, much like that of a homeless person.

Last year, in November, West was accused of trespassing and arrested by the Fairfax County Police Department. He was held on a $ 1,000 bond and was subsequently released.

In early September 2025, he was spotted in a vehicle and singing “Happy Birthday” to a woman’s husband.

Then, yet again on September 24, 2025, it was spotted outside. This time, he was shirtless and dancing as he spoke to the people recording him from the car. One of them, his fan, provided him with $20.

Time and again, Delonte West has been photographed in public barefoot, in handcuffs, and panhandling in the streets. Similarly, there are times he has been spotted unresponsive due to a drug overdose.

Delonte West Spotted Trespassing, Facing Traffic Violations, And Struggling With Drugs

Delonte West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008. He initially accepted the diagnosis, but later disputed it.

Moreover, he cited that his mental difficulties are mainly because of the temporary depression and stress from his professional life as a basketball player.

Soon after the diagnosis, West was pulled over for a traffic violation. He later pleaded guilty to the traffic and weapon charges, as he was discovered with weapons.

Then, Delonte was sentenced to electronic monitoring, unsupervised probation, 40 hours of community service, and psychological counselling.

After that, a series of arrests and cases involving West panhandling and rule violations ensued. In September 2020, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban picked up West from a gas station where he was panhandling and paid for drug rehabilitation treatment.

Later, on January 19, 2021, reports surfaced that Delonte had secured a job at a rehabilitation facility and was making improvements in his life. But after one year, he was again seen begging in the streets.

Again in 2022, he was arrested for trespassing on a car, and in 2024, he was arrested for trespassing. That time, he was under the influence of opioids.

There are several instances in which Delonte West receives funds from his fans and former NBA players. However, each time he ends up back on the same path in the streets, indulging in drugs.
