A Saturday afternoon at Chichester High School ended with an arrest after police say Quadir Blackwell, 21, drew a firearm and pointed it at a teenager outside the stadium.

The Police officers also recovered an AK-47-style pistol, additional gun magazines, and a bottle of promethazine, according to the authorities.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on September 27, 2025, on the 3300 block of Chichester Avenue in Upper Chichester.

Officers assigned to game-day security responded after hearing a disturbing sound near the stadium entrance and moved to investigate.

Detective Dominic Venuti and Sergeant Christopher Jones shortly arrived to find Blackwell engaged in a heated argument with a juvenile.

According to the officials, Blackwell reached into his waistband, produced a black semi-automatic handgun, and pointed it at the teenager.

When officers arrived at the location, he claimed to have a permit and initially complied with their directions.

Authorities say the situation became worse when Blackwell again displayed the handgun and directed it toward the responding officers.

At that heated moment, officers ordered him to the ground and took him into custody without further incident, according to police releases.

Blackwell Had A College Football Merch

During a search of the immediate area, investigators located a red “Lackawanna College Football” bag that contained a black AK-47-style pistol with a loaded magazine, an additional loaded magazine for a separate handgun, and a bottle of promethazine.

Those items formed part of the evidence cited in the subsequent charging documents.

Court filings and police statements list several charges, including aggravated assault are described in one release as “attempts to cause serious bodily injury with extreme indifference,” possession of a weapon on school property, assault of a law enforcement officer with an allegation connected to a firearm discharge, and possession of a controlled substance.

Blackwell was arraigned before District Judge Sloan Walker, who set bail at 10 percent of $40,000.

He was initially unable to post bail and was taken to the George W. Hill Correctional Facility; however, he later posted bail and was released pending further proceedings.

Blackwell’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for October 9 before District Judge David R. Griffin.

The Upper Chichester Police Department continues to investigate the incident.

Further information and details are expected to be presented at upcoming court proceedings and in official releases from the department and the district attorney’s office.

Officials did not immediately provide additional details about the juvenile’s condition or witness statements.
