American professional wrestler Sol Ruca, aka Carlyx Harmony Hampton’s father, Paul A. Hampton, is a musician, songwriter, and producer.

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, Sol Ruca participated in the six-woman ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver to win the vacant NXT Women’s North American title.

Ruca outlasted five of the best Superstars in the NXT women’s division to win gold, defeating Zaria, Kelani Jorda, Lola Vice, Izzi Dame, and Thea Hail.

The finish saw Ruca hit a trio of Sol Snatchers, starting with one to Dame off the ladder. She then used the ropes to hit Vice and Hail with the move.

With all five of her opponents laid out, Ruca climbed the ladder to win the championship.

Now, Sol is a double champion, holding the WWE Women’s Speed Championship and NXT Women’s North American Championship.

Born on August 26, 1999, Carlyx Harmony Hampton, best known by her stage name Sol Ruca, 26, was raised by her father, Paul A. Hampton, and her mother, Sandy Brown Hampton.

Her parents tied the knot on October 26, 1997. On October 26, 2023, Sandy Brown took to her official Instagram handle and wished Paul a happy 27th marriage anniversary.

Paul and Sandy have always supported Sol in every moment to achieve her wrestling dreams.

Paul A. Hampton, 55, born on October 26, 1970, is a musician and the founding member and keyboardist of the ska band The Skeletones.

Paul’s mother, Juanita Hampton, influenced Paul’s piano skills. In 1988, as a senior at Perris High School, he released his first album, Introducing The Skeletones.

In 1990, he created Culture Beat Music Publishing, ASCAP, which published the entire Skeletones catalog.

Paul co-founded Dynamic Multimedia Inc., a production company that produced live concerts and DJ events in various California, Mexico, and Hollywood venues.

In 2013, he joined the lineup of the ska, punk, funk, rock band Fishbne on keyboard and vocals.

On the other hand, Sol Ruca’s mother, Sandy, 57, born on August 11, 1968, has managed to keep her details private.

However, she has been continuously supporting her daughter, Sol.

On April 21, 2025, Sandy took to her official Facebook handle and congratulated Sol for winning a new championship. She wrote,

Professional wrestler Sol Ruca has an elder brother named Coda Jazz Hampton, serving as a mortgage loan officer at Geneve Financial, founded in 2007 by Aaron VanTrojen.
