Zach Cash, remembered as a devoted husband, father, friend, and mentor, was a beloved figure in the Lexington, NC community and beyond.
Known for his years of playing ball and his impactful career as head coach of Vipers Fastpitch, he inspired countless young athletes in the game.
A true community leader, Zach poured endless hours into volunteering, coaching, and guiding youth, leaving a legacy of vision, passion, and loyalty.
He was cherished by teammates, players, and families alike for his kindness, leadership, and unwavering presence.
His tragic passing has left a deep void in the softball community and among all who knew him.
The Arcadia Boosters, Community Leaders of Davidson County, and many friends and families mourn his loss while keeping his wife Emily, their children, and the Cash and Sink families in heartfelt prayers.
Knockouts-CE wrote a heartfelt tribute on their Facebook page, honoring the life and legacy of Zach Cash.
In their message, they wrote:
If everyone will please keep the family of Zach Cash in your thoughts and prayers. He was the head coach of Vipers Fastpitch from Lexington, NC. He passed away tragically today. He was a great coach and even better human being. The softball cummunity lost a good one today.

Zach was North Davidson through and through. He served countless hours volunteering with youth and coached more kids than we can count. He gave his time and energy and hours to pour into our community’s youth.
He was loved by many and was loyal and present husband, father, and friend.
We are praying fervently for Emily, the kids, and all of the Cash and Sink families.
Although Zach Cash has passed away, his memory will be carried forward through the countless lives he touched as a coach, mentor, and friend.
