A Facebook user with the username Shade Room Louisiana posted a viral update. He claimed that Washington-Marion High School football coach Dio Bernard has been suspended.
It also mentioned that police were called after a personal fallout and that Bernard’s tires were allegedly flattened during a game in DeRidder, possibly linked to the drama.
A Facebook Post Claims Washington-Marion Coach Benched Over Alleged Affairs!
According to the anonymous tip shared in the post, Bernard is allegedly known as a “womanizer” and connected to three or four women who were reportedly fighting over him.
The situation escalated when police were called to his residence, and later, his car tires were found deflated during an away game.
The post suggested that the issue might involve more departments within the school system.
This indicated deeper problems that extend beyond just the football team.
In the above post, Shantel Antoinette responded directly, denying any romantic involvement, further saying:
Now that I am off the clock, in response to the above post: I am not now nor have I ever been romantically involved with Coach Bernard. I was called by my coworker because he needed assistance with getting a police response at his residence(after an unsuccessful attempt) and he knew my employment background. I was able to assist him with speaking to the officer and went on my way. At no point was I engaged in a “love triangle” but did get to witness a potential fatal attraction. When posting these anon posts without doing the leg work to justify them, you put people’s reputations at stake over lies. If you have evidence of me interacting with my coworker in a non-platonic manner feel free to reach out. Now let me get back to minding my business.
Furthermore, she criticized the anonymous claims, saying they risk damaging reputations without providing proof.
On the other hand, others dismissed the post as gossip, saying it was just for clicks, saying:
This post is for clicks. Everybody in here has seen more than one person at a time whether in their past or even now. Dig up some good
if you gonna drop shade.
Meanwhile, Shade Room Louisiana doubled down, saying another anonymous source had come forward with even more allegations.
One commenter reacted to the Shade Room Louisiana post and even questioned whether the situation is truly serious or just personal drama.
He said:
Does that go against the constitution?? Or just grown folks business?
In the end, whether this is a serious scandal or just grown folks’ drama, the community remains split.
Coach Bernard’s suspension has only deepened the debate.
