In mid-August 2025, Nichole shared an update on social media about Branson’s new challenge.
He developed an infection in his intestines, which left him sleeping a lot and struggling to keep food or drinks down.
The doctors started him on antibiotics right away, hoping to clear it up quickly so it wouldn’t delay the transplant.
Nichole wrote,
“This journey never seems to slow down, but we know God’s hand is in every step. Please keep lifting him up in your prayers, that this infection clears completely and that we stay on track for transplant.”
The infection turned out to be a severe case of adenovirus, which has become aggressive and attacked multiple parts of his body, including his abdomen and intestines.
His body, already weakened from months of leukemia treatment, is struggling hard against it.
Updates from early October 2025 indicate that the situation has become even more serious.
By October 5, Branson was in a worrisome state, and by October 10, he was in the ICU needing a miracle.
Doctors believe the virus might be spreading to his central nervous system, making the situation critical.
The family is asking for high energy, positive vibes, and lots of prayers to help Branson pull through.
