The New Jersey community is in deep mourning following the tragic loss of Allyson Legora, a beloved 21-year-old known as “Ally,” who lost her life in an ATV accident over the weekend in Rockaway.

Her sudden passing has left a huge pain in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Ally was more than just a name.

She was a light that brightened every room she entered. Her warmth, kindness, and dedication touched so many lives.

Allyson was the cherished daughter of Casey Legora and Jodi Legora, residents of Jefferson, New Jersey.

Casey, her father, is a former coach for Rise as One, a youth basketball program.

He was known as “Coach Casey” to many. Ally grew up in a supportive family that encouraged her passions. She had a special love for horses.

Ally enjoyed riding them and embraced a cowgirl spirit. Her family even owns horses, which brought her so much joy.

From a young age, Ally showed a talent for sports. She attended Jefferson Township High School.

There, she played on the girls’ varsity basketball team from 2020 to 2023. She excelled as a shooting guard.

Her coaches and teammates remember her as a hard worker. She was tough on the court but always respectful.

Ally was a true team player. She did whatever was asked of her without complaint.

After high school, Ally continued her education at Montclair State University. She pursued an associate’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies.

She was on track to graduate in 2026. Her studies showed her caring nature. Ally wanted to make a difference in people’s lives, especially children.

In her professional life, Ally was already giving back. She worked as a before-and-after-school teacher at the Jefferson Childcare and Education Center since May 2023.

She also coached basketball there. Ally extended her coaching skills to Pope John as an assistant coach.

Her enthusiasm inspired young athletes. She loved helping kids grow, both on and off the court.
