American broadcast journalist and TV personality Hoda Kotb, who gained recognition as the co-anchor for NBC’s morning show Today, is currently single, but she has had a pretty exciting love life in the past.
For almost a decade, Hoda was in a relationship with financier Joel Schiffman. The now-ex-couple first met in 2013 at a Wall Street event, and shortly after, they started dating secretly.
In 2016, in an episode of SiriusXM’s The Hoda Show, the TV personality announced that she was moving in with Joel. A year later, the two adopted a daughter named Haley Joy together, intending to expand their family.
Three years later, Hoda and Joel became parents for the second time by adopting another daughter, Hoope Catherine, and the same year, they got engaged.
However, their relationship only lasted three years after that, and eventually, in 2022, they called off their engagement.
Later, in an exclusive interview with People, Hoda opened up about her separation from Joel and said,
“Sometimes two great human beings together isn’t enough to make it work. I think when people are growing at different paces, it’s hard to be in sync…..”

In 2005, Hoda married Burzis Kanga, the former head coach for men’s and women’s tennis at U.N.O.
The now ex-couple remained in an on-and-off relationship for years, ever since they met each other at a Valentine’s Day fundraiser for the American Heart Association in New Orleans. Despite differences, the two ended up tying the knot.
Later, in an interview with New Orleans Living Magazine in 2006, she gushed about her marriage, saying,
“Married life has been great! We love just kind of knocking around New York… If I would have known it was this much fun, I probably would have done it a long time ago.”
Sadly, their marriage didn’t last more than three years. In 2007, Kotb filed for a divorce, which was finalized in 2008.
