She grew up in a multicultural family with a Black father and a white-Japanese mother, and she proudly embraced her Black culture.
She had two other siblings, sister De’Angel Branch and brother James Branch Jr., with whom she had a good relationship.
Branch comes from a close family. Her parents, Crystal, and James Branch, have been married for over 32 years.
Her mom attended Florida State College in Jacksonville, while her dad served in the U.S. Navy.
Branch attended West Florida High School, where she was an athlete in high jump, track, and relay races.
After high school, she graduated from the University of Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature.
Besides her studies, she was a fashion model and now owns Mizizi Curls, a Dallas-based hair care business she established in May 2020.
Previously, she worked at 3 AM Boutique and served as a floor instructor at Gainesville Health & Fitness.
