Student-athlete Jack Brookhart sadly passed away in a car accident on July 26, 2025, at the age of 17, leaving behind his legacy of sportsmanship.

This tragic accident happened early Saturday morning in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

Around 5 a.m., Jackson was driving a black Kia on Chalk Road near Hidden Nook Lane when the car crossed the center line, went off the road, and hit a ditch.

The vehicle then flew into the air, struck a tree, and flipped back onto the road.

He sadly died at the scene. The two passengers, 18-year-old Reece Campbell and another 17-year-old, were taken to the hospital with injuries.

Authorities said that speed was a factor in the crash.

Jack Brookhart Was A True Dual-Sport Standout!

Jackson “Jack” Ryan Brookhart was a 17-year-old high school student and talented baseball player from Wake Forest, North Carolina.

Born on September 23, 2007, he was a student at North Raleigh Christian Academy.

Brookhart was listed as a 2026 graduate and played as a first baseman (1B) from Wake Forest, North Carolina.

He was listed as a left-handed batter and thrower (L/L), standing at 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds.

Although not nationally or state-ranked at the time (NR), he was actively involved in travel baseball, having last played for the Warbirds 13U team.

He was known for his strong skills on the baseball field and had already gained attention through a national scouting platform known as Perfect Game.

Moreover, he was a hardworking and dedicated athlete who stood out for his leadership and sportsmanship.

Jack had a bright future ahead, and many believed he could go far in baseball.

Beyond baseball, he was a beloved member of the junior varsity football team.

He made significant contributions to his school’s football program, earning praise from both coaches and teammates.

Sadly, Jack died in a car accident. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and the entire Wake Forest community heartbroken.

He is survived by his parents, siblings, and the whole Wake Forest community.

As of now, Jack’s family hasn’t released a public statement directly addressing the tragic accident or funeral.

In the meantime, the community is coming together to support his loved ones during this very difficult time.
