Mindy Ramberg, a 5th-grade teacher at St. Croix Central Middle School, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 9:56 a.m., surrounded by her husband and two kids.
Her sister, Tina Karsten, announced the tragic news on Ramberg’s CaringBridge page.
Mindy Ramberg, a teacher and coach, poured her entire heart into everything she did. Her classroom was a place for learning as well as a sanctuary where every student felt seen, heard, and valued.
Her classroom remained a popular stop for former students, and she possessed the rare gift of making genuine connections.
Moreover, she had a special focus on the most challenging students, embracing them the hardest because she understood they needed that extra care and was determined to provide it.
Mindy’s warmth extended far beyond her students, and she often showed concern for her colleagues. She had an incredible talent for making everyone around her feel noticed and important.
She brought her athletic team spirit, having played baseball at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF), into her coaching and teaching.

Mindy Ramberg was Stung by a Bee and Admitted to the ICU
Mindy Ramberg passed away after suffering a sudden and severe allergic reaction to a bee sting.
Her courageous fight was updated on her family’s CaringBridge page, where an outpouring of love and support was shared by all whose lives she had touched.
Mindy was the heart of her family and a pillar of the St. Croix Central community.
She lived by a simple but powerful mantra to be a kind person. It guided her every action, making her a fantastic teacher, coach, devoted friend, nurturing mother, and inspirational role model.
Her classroom was a place of safety, curiosity, and compassion, where she shaped young minds and kind hearts. Her loss is devastating to all who knew her.
My heart is crushed. Heaven gained one of the good ones today. It’s easy to be mad and not understand the why, but in the end, I choose to remember Mindy Ramberg as she was: caring, loving, friendly, joyous, infectious, and one of a kind.

Mindy was married to her first love, Scott Ramberg, a St. Croix Central graduate, and they had two cherished daughters, Maeve and Molly.
Their daughter are active members of the Blackhawk Hockey Association.
A 5th-grade teacher filled the Ramberg home with immeasurable joy, laughter, and love. Her spirit will forever be the foundation of their family.
Moreover, Mindy leaves behind her soul sister, Tina Karsten, as well as a wide circle of extended family, friends, colleagues, and generations of students.
Her lessons and beautiful memories will live on in the countless lives she influenced.
A community mourns the loss of a tremendous light that has gone out too soon. Prayers and deepest condolences are extended to Scott, Maeve, Molly, and all who loved her.
