Lola Ressler, an emerging talent in women’s soccer at Wake Forest University, has caught attention for both her skills and rumors connecting her to NBA star Cooper Flagg.

Lola’s journey to success is rooted in the love and support of her parents, Melanie and David Ressler, even amidst the swirling speculation about their relationship.

Born on March 21, 2006, Lola Ressler grew up in a tight-knit family alongside her brother, Sebastien, and sister, Sophie.

Raised in Florida, Lola’s passion for soccer blossomed early.

She attended Montverde Academy, a prestigious school known for producing top-tier athletes, including NBA star Cooper Flagg.

At Montverde, Lola played for Orlando City ECNL, honing her skills and earning accolades like the 2024 Florida Class 3A State Champion MVP and a spot on the 2024 All-Area First Team.

Now a freshman at Wake Forest University, Lola continues to shine on the soccer field.

Her dedication and talent have made her a player to watch on the field, but it’s the constant encouragement from her family that has fueled her every step of the way.

Specifically, her parents, Melanie and David Ressler, have been her biggest supporters, fostering her dreams and celebrating her milestones.

Lola’s Parents Are Successful Business Leaders

Lola’s father, David Ressler, is a Florida native from Hawthorne who has built a successful career in horticulture and business.

A proud alumnus of the University of Florida, David earned a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture Science in 1996, specializing in ornamental horticulture.

His passion for the field led him to work at Cherry Lake Tree Farm for nine years, where he developed his expertise in landscape management.

David’s ambition didn’t stop there.

In 2008, he earned an MBA from Rollins College’s Crummer Graduate School of Business, equipping him with the skills to take on leadership roles.

Over the years, he served as General Manager at LegacyScapes for nine years, followed by stints as Director of Business at The Jordan Companies and JK2 Construction.

After serving as Branch Manager at BrightView Landscapes for two years, David returned to Cherry Lake in 2021, where he now holds the position of Head of Business Development and Purchasing.

Beyond his professional achievements, David is a devoted father. His pride in Lola’s accomplishments shines through on social media.

When Lola committed to playing soccer at Wake Forest, David shared a heartfelt post on Facebook, writing,

“So proud of my daughter for accomplishing this huge goal and dream.”

His unwavering support has been a cornerstone of Lola’s journey, giving her the confidence to chase her ambitions.

Lola’s mother, Melanie Sallin Ressler, is a powerhouse in her own right.

Originally from France, Melanie attended Lycée Marcel Roby, graduating in 1993.

She pursued higher education in the United States, earning a BBA in Finance from Stetson University in 1997.

That same year, she also studied international business at ESCP Europe, showcasing her global perspective and drive.

Since 1999, Melanie has been the Chief Operating Officer at IMG Enterprises, Inc., specifically at IMG Citrus, a family-owned company specializing in citrus production and distribution.

Her leadership has helped the company succeed, striking a balance between operational excellence and a commitment to sustainability.

Melanie’s business acumen and dedication make her a role model for her children, showing them the value of hard work and perseverance.

As a mother, Melanie has been a constant source of encouragement for Lola and her siblings.

Together with David, she has created a nurturing environment where their children can pursue their passions, whether on the soccer field or in other areas.

Melanie and David Ressler’s relationship began over two decades ago when they married on June 6, 2003.

Together, they’ve raised three children—Lola, Sebastien, and Sophie—in a home filled with love, support, and ambition.

Their pride in their children’s achievements, especially Lola’s soccer journey, is evident in their active involvement and public celebrations of her milestones.

The Cooper Flagg Connection: Rumor or Reality?

Lola Ressler’s name has recently been in the spotlight due to rumors of a romantic connection with Cooper Flagg, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks.

The two reportedly met at Montverde Academy, where they both excelled in their respective sports.

Flagg, now a star at Duke University, is celebrated for his elite defensive versatility, high basketball IQ, and playmaking abilities.

Meanwhile, Lola has carved her own path as a soccer standout.

Fans have speculated about a possible romance between the two, with some suggesting they were in a relationship for three years.

However, neither Cooper nor Lola has publicly confirmed or denied these rumors, and recent reports hint that any relationship may have ended.

Without credible information, the status of their connection remains a mystery.

What’s undeniable, though, is that both athletes are focused on their promising careers, with supportive families cheering them on.

Her achievements, like the 2024 Florida Class 3A State Champion MVP award, are a testament to her hard work and skill.

With her parents, Melanie and David, by her side, Lola has a strong foundation to continue chasing her dreams.

Melanie and David Ressler are more than just Lola’s parents—they’re her biggest fans, her guiding lights, and her inspiration.

Their dedication to their careers and family has created a legacy of love and support that Lola carries with her on and off the soccer field.

As she continues to make her mark at Wake Forest, one thing is certain: the Ressler family’s bond will remain unbreakable.
