After the Death of Thunder Elite Softball Founder David Allen Granelly, Wife Denise Perry Remains a Pillar of Strength for the Family

Through years of marriage and shared service, Denise’s role as a loving wife and mother remains central to the Granelly family story.

Denise Perry Granelly, wife of the late David Allen Granelly, has been a steadfast partner, companion, and source of strength throughout their 56-year marriage.

David passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving Denise and their family to carry on his legacy of love and service.

Born and raised in Vienna, Ohio, Denise shared a lifelong partnership with David, whom she married on February 14, 1969.

Together, they built a family that continues to honor their shared values.

Denise supported David through his decades of public service, including his roles with the Vienna Police Department and as Vienna Road Superintendent, as well as his active participation in local community organizations.

Denise played an integral role in nurturing their sons, Brian and Christopher, and fostering strong family connections with their grandchildren, Zachary, Tabitha, Kalli, and Preston, as well as great-grandchildren Hudson, Hayes, and Lochlan.

Friends and neighbors often recall Denise’s warmth and hospitality, whether she was hosting family gatherings or supporting local community events alongside David.

Even in times of grief, Denise remains a pillar of strength for her family, ensuring that David’s legacy of service, love, and dedication lives on.

Family and friends will honor David with calling hours on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Kyle Funeral Homes Vienna Chapel, 4471 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, Ohio.

Funeral services will follow on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with additional calling hours from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

David will be laid to rest at Vienna Township Cemetery with full military honors provided by North Jackson VFW Post 9571.
