AJ Green was born Adriel Jeremiah Green on July 31, 1988, in Summerville, South Carolina, United States. His father, Woodrow Green, was a steelworker and truck driver and his mother, Dora Green, was a clerk at a Walmart.
He lost his only sibling, an older brother, Avionce Green, in a car accident on the way to a school carnival.
AJ was just 4 at the time of the incident, the same incident left their aunt paralyzed too.

Education
AJ Green attended Summerville High School in South Carolina, where he played basketball and track in addition to football.
