Ryan Williams, the young talent, is buzzing in town. The news of him graduating high school a year early has thrilled Alabama Crimson Tide fans.

Williams produced an excellent performance again for Saraland on a Friday game against Clay-Chalkville, with eleven catches for 232 yards.

However, the young prospect surprised everyone after reclassifying a year earlier to the class of 2024.

Ryan Williams is an American football player committed to playing with the Alabama Crimson Tide. He was set to graduate in 2025 before deciding to reclassify.

Besides playing as a wide receiver, he participated in track and field events and had a flair for basketball.

Moreover, as a freshman, Williams came fourth in the 200-meter event in the Alabama 6A state championships.

In 2021, he threw a 35-yard pass, assisting a touchdown. Additionally, in the 2022 season, he recorded 88 passes for 1,641 yards and scored 24 touchdowns.

Furthermore, Ryan became the first sophomore in the state to be awarded the Mr. Football title by the Alabama Sports Writers Association. Moreover, he also won the Gatorade Player of the Year in Alabam that year.

Williams bosted 72 passes for 1,324 yards the following years while scoring 19 touchdowns. The five-star wide receiver is set to sign with the Crimson Tides in February.

Ryan Williams Age And Wiki

Ryan Williams has already proved himself at such a young age. Although his exact birthdate is not known publicly, he will be turning 17 in February.

However, despite his age, he shows signs of being one of the best receivers in the country. At 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds, Williams has excelled in his pace.

Moreover, with an impeccable track and field profile, opponents will need help to stop the young wide receiver.

Furthermore, Alabama’s willingness to allow Williams an early enrollment is evidence of the youngster’s prospects.

Indeed, in his debut season, Williams made 88 catches for 1,631 yards, scoring 24 touchdowns. Additionally, he rushed 57 times for 700 times, scoring 15 touchdowns.

That season, Saraland High School won its first-ever Class 6A state championship. However, this season, the team lost in the finals.

Despite the loss, Ryan’s contribution was influential. Speaking to 247Sports, Williams agreed,

“It hurts after losing the state title game. It was about dominating at the high school level and knowing I’m ready for the next level.”

While the finals may not have ended as Williams had hoped, Alabama’s trust in the player seems intact.

Furthermore, Andrew Ivins, scouting director at 247Sports, confirmed that Williams would maintain his five-star status and ranked at no. 14 over prospect despite reclassifying.

What Does This Mean For The Crimson Tide?

Alabama will have three five-star prospects in their class of 2024 after Williams’ big announcement of reclassifying.

Williams’ enrollment would come just in time, with Alabama losing two of its receivers, Ja’Corey Brooks and Thaiu Jones-Bell.

The Crimson Tides have experience with Isaiah Bond, Malik Benson, Jalen Hale, Kobe Prentice, and Kendrick Law, all of whom are bound to return in 2024.

However, given his potential, Ryan will likely compete for his spot on the team. Moreover, an opportunity to learn from experience is ever-present.

Nonetheless, experts believe the young prospect will have a place on the team, considering his ability and Alabama’s haste to acquire the wide receiver.

Furthermore, Williams will be joining fellow five-star prospect Julian Sayin. If the two prospects combine well, Alabama might have one of the best duos for years.

Both players are magnificent at what they do. If they can make their partnership work, the sky is the limit for Williams and Sayin.
