Alana Cook is the youngest daughter to her parents, father Bryan, who hails from England, and mother Florence, who was born in America.

Shortly after she was born, her family, including her elder sister Brianna, moved to Colorado. Just before Alana turned four, they relocated to Far Hills, New Jersey.

With her family, Alana has an endearing relationship. She shares her professional plans with her parents, who give her unquestionable support growing up in a loving home.

The American professional soccer player plays for the National Women’s Soccer League club OL Reign. She is currently representing the United States in the Women’s World Cup.

Playing college soccer with Stanford Cardinal until 2018, Alana started her senior career with French Division 1 Feminine team Paris Saing-German in 2019.

Later, she got loaned to OL Reign in 2020 and signed a three-year contract with the club next year.

Throughout her international career, the soccer star has led Unites States to the 2022 CONCACAF Women’s Championship and two SheBelieves Cups.

Moreover, her club career has also been phenomenal, with Division 1 Feminine title (2020-21) and NWSL Shield with Women’s Cup in 2022.

Parents Florence and Bryan welcomed their daughter Alana Cook into the world in Worcester in 1997.

Cook’s father’s involvement with the beautiful game inspired her to take an early interest in the sport.

She remembers attending Kinder-Kickers with her father when she was four or five as being the beginning of her soccer career.

Cook has also disclosed that she used to watch any game on TV with her dad on Saturday and Sunday mornings, including the English Premier League.

In Oxford, Bryan represented the neighborhood team Oxford United in the 1960s and 1970s.

After moving to the US from England in his late 20s, her father, Bryan, met her mother, Florence, at work.

Alana Cook, along with her parents, remains very private about her personal life. However, she sometimes posts about her parents on Instagram, thanking them for all their support and motivation.

Alana Cook Sister: Brianna

Love for sports runs in the family of Cook. Like her sister Alana, Brianna is also an athlete who previously played softball at Amherst College.

Brianna also represented the Great Britain softball team during the World Championship in Canada in 2016. Currently she is an account manager for Tiktok since 2020.

Alana’s sister completed her high school diploma from The Lawrenceville School in 2012. She then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Environmental Studies from Amherst College in 2016.

There, she remained a two-time team captain for her junior and senior years and also led the NCAA Division III in 2014 as the statistical leader in most doubles per game.

During her college days, Brianna also worked as a strategic marketing intern at J. Ottman Consulting Inc.

After college in 2017, she worked as an account executive for Pacific Southwest Container, LLC in San Francisco Bay area.

Besides Brianna, Alana also has a half-sister named Nicola Salter, who is proud of Alana and sees her as a ‘great role model’ for Oxford and young women in sports.
