On Sunday night, Alex Collins, the former running back for the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens, tragically passed away, a confirmation jointly provided by both teams on Monday.

After an impressive tenure at Arkansas, where he showcased his dominance, Collins earned his selection in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Seahawks.

Hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he exhibited his prowess by amassing 1,577 yards and scoring 20 touchdowns during his final season with the Razorbacks.

This remarkable achievement marked his third consecutive year of achieving over 1,000 rushing yards.

After his stint with the Seahawks, Collins transitioned to Baltimore the subsequent year following his release from Seattle.

Alex briefly returned to Seattle in both 2020 and 2021, ultimately concluding his NFL career. In total, he accumulated 1,997 rushing yards and contributed to 19 touchdowns throughout his time in the league.

More recently, Collins participated in the USFL with the Memphis Showboats earlier this spring. Regrettably, his season was curtailed as he was placed on injured reserve in May.
