Alexandra Marchessault, formerly known as Alexandra Gravel, is the wife of NHL player Jonathan Marchessault. 

Jonathan Marchessault is a Canadian professional ice hockey who plays as a forward for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The player was born in Quebec, Canada, on December 27, 1990, and began playing junior hockey with the Quebec Remparts in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

He signed his first professional contract with the Connecticut Whale of the New York Rangers’ American Hockey League team after not being selected in the NHL Entry Draft on June 23, 2011.

After achieving success with the Whales, Marchessault signed a three-year contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets as a free agent.

He was eventually selected by Vegas Golden Knights in NHL Draft 2017 and signed a six-year contract extension worth $30 million with the Golden Knights.

Marchessault’s outstanding performance during the 2017-2018 NHL season established him as one of the top wingers in the league, as he scored 75 points in the regular season.

Jonathan was also the leading scorer on the Golden Knights during the postseason, with eight goals, as the team made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in their very first season.

Ice hockey player Jonathan Marchessault and his wife Alexandra Gravel, got married on July 27, 2013.

It is uncertain when Jonathan and Alex began their romantic relationship, but in 2012, Jonathan posted a picture of Alex on his Instagram account.

The Marchessault family resides in Summerlin, Nevada, and has four children. They welcomed their first son James in 2014 and daughter Victoria in 2015.

Furthermore, the couple welcomed their third son, Will, in 2018 and their fourth son, Henry John, in 2019.

Alexandra is often seen spending quality time with their family and striving to be a good mother to their children.

On Instagram, she can be seen socializing with other wives of Vegas Golden Knights ice hockey players, dressing alike, and cheering on their husbands during matches.

They call themselves the ‘Golden Girls.’

Jonathan Marchessault was born and raised in Cap-Rouge, Quebec, Canada, with his parents and older brother.

When he was younger, Marchessault’s older brother was a big fan of Joe Sakic, which made him also appreciate his style of play.

However, as he became more interested in hockey and watched the game more closely, Marchessault was inspired by Martin St. Louis.

He started his minor ice hockey team in Rive-Nord, Quebec, and participated in the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments.

Jonathan Marchessault used to be known as Jonathan Audy-Marchessault earlier in his hockey career.

However, he decided to drop “Audy” from his legal surname in 2013 so that it would be shorter and more manageable for his child.
