On July 16, 2025, a disturbing incident shook the Days Hotel by Wyndham Allentown Airport/Lehigh Valley on Airport Road, Lehigh County.
When A young woman staying at the hotel was assaulted in her sleep, her sense of safety was shattered by a stranger who forced his way into her room.
The suspect, later identified as Isaiah Taylor, a former Allentown basketball player, fled the scene barefoot, leaving behind a single black Crocs shoe.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police Troop M – Bethlehem Barracks, the assault took place in the early hours of July 16.
The suspect allegedly broke into the victim’s hotel room while she was asleep. Startled awake, the victim confronted the intruder, who then fled on foot.
Police noted that the man was wearing white socks, black shorts with white lining, a black New Balance long-sleeve jacket, and a gray shirt with a circular emblem on the front and the number “0” on the back.
In his rush to escape, he lost one of his black Crocs shoes, leaving it behind as a key piece of evidence.
Investigators initially suspected the perpetrator might be homeless, but further investigation revealed otherwise.
The trail led to Isaiah Taylor, a man in his 20s from Paterson, New Jersey, who had been living in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

He was known for his dedication to the sport, and he dreamed of one day playing in the NBA.
Beyond basketball, Taylor pursued agricultural engineering at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and worked at Foot Locker.
