The young basketball player Andre Jackson Jr.’s parents are proud that their son is already a big name in basketball.

Although he has yet to make a professional league debut, Andre became an internet sensation overnight after becoming the NCAA champion.

He had three points with six assists and three rebounds in the finals, which proved crucial in their historic victory against San Diego State.

Andre Terrell Jackson Jr., better known as Andre Jackson Jr., is an American collegiate basketball player for the UConn Huskies.

A tall guy with a massive height of six feet six inches, Jackson mainly plays as a point guard for his team.

Born and brought up in New York, Andre showed athletic prowess as a high schooler. He became the New York Sports Writers Association Class A Player of the Year for his senior season performance.

Unfortunately, Andre suffered a setback immediately after he joined the Huskies for his collegiate career. He missed seven games in his freshman season due to a wrist injury.

To tell the truth, Andre has not been able to perform well in any of his college seasons yet, and some believe that his inconsistency might cost him his spot in the early-round pick in this year’s draft.

Andre Jackson Jr. Parents Are Proud Of Their Son

Andre Jr. was born on November 13, 2001, to his parents, Tricia Altieri and Andre Jackson Sr.

He grew up with two younger siblings, brother Marcus and sister Mianna and Marcus, who are twins.

Born to a mixed family with great taste in basketball, Andre Jackson began playing the sport at a young age.

His dad and mom attended Fulton-Montgomery Community College in Johnstown and were collegiate athletes.

Both Tricia and Andre Sr played collegiate basketball for their varsity teams.

Andre Sr later transferred to Mercy College and played for their team, while Tricia became an amateur boxer.

Tricia is now a Director of Patient Services for a home care service company called Marquis Certified Home Care.

Similarly, Andre’s dad opted for another career and left playing basketball after college.

Now that their son has picked up exactly where they had left off, Andre’s parents are already proud that their son represents the UConn Huskies at the national level.

Moving ahead of them, he became the NCAA champion in 2023 and can make his parents even prouder by being drafted into the NBA.
