Some have even speculated that he has been diagnosed with cancer, which has caused a great deal of worry among his supporters. Fortunately, the speculations are false.

But back in September 2021, Reid was hospitalized after feeling ill following the Chiefs’ game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The medical staff initially evaluated him in the locker room before being transferred to the University of Kansas Health System for further evaluation.

After being discharged from the hospital, he chose not to discuss the details of his treatment or the circumstances that led to his hospitalization.

“I’D PROBABLY JUST SKIP THAT. I’LL JUST LEAVE IT,” REID SAID OF HIS HEALTH. “I’M NOT MUCH FOR TALKING ABOUT ALL THAT STUFF. I WISH IT HAD NEVER HAPPENED. IT DID. I APPRECIATE THE DOCTORS FOR TAKING CARE OF ME. THEY WERE PHENOMENAL.”

Despite his previous health issues, Reid is now actively involved in coaching the Chiefs.

Despite the mounting frustration, the Chiefs didn’t give up and started mounting a comeback in the second half.

In the end, they managed to win 25-23 in overtime, securing their third Super Bowl victory in just five seasons.

Travis Kelce was one of the standout players in the game. He finished with nine catches for 93 yards, including a crucial first-down conversion in the red zone that set up the game-winning touchdown.

After the game, Kelce apologized to Reid for his outburst. Later, the coach brushed it off, saying Kelce is a competitive kid who loves playing.
