Anthony Davis suffered a head injury in Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

The Lakers struck first in their Western Conference Semifinal matchup against the Warriors, holding on for a nail-biting 117-112 win at the Chase Center on Tuesday night, 2 May 2023.

Davis played extraordinarily well, recording 30 points and 23 rebounds in Game 1.

With this, he became just the fourth player in franchise history with a 30-20-5 line in the postseason.

Despite a solid start to the series in Game 1, Davis struggled to find his footing in Game 2 against the Warriors.

The star center, who had 30 points and 23 rebounds in the previous game, could only manage 11 points and seven rebounds in the team’s 127-100 loss at Chase Center on Thursday.

Lakers big man Anthony Davis suffered a head injury in Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, when the forearm of Kevon Looney hit him on a layup attempt. He left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return.

Davis was taken to the locker room in a wheelchair with a towel over his head.

He was placed in the NBA’s concussion protocol, and his status for Game 6 is uncertain.

It was later reported that Davis has avoided a concussion and is expected to be OK.

Davis scored 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting, along with ten rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal in Game 5 before he left the game with an injury.

He played 29 minutes and had a plus-minus of +4. He was the second-leading scorer for the Lakers behind LeBron James, who had 28 points.

Past Injuries

Throughout his career, Anthony Davis has sustained his fair share of injuries. Some of the notable injuries he has endured in the past include,
