Known for his skills as a point guard and shooting guard, Caleb has been named one of the five finalists for the 2025 Jerry West Award.

This is the second consecutive year that Love has been a finalist for this prestigious award.

Caleb’s maternal grandfather was a significant role model in his life and basketball career. Tragically, he passed away on June 6, 2021.

He shared a heartfelt post on Instagram in which he expressed his deep sorrow and paid tribute to his grandfather.

He shared how much his grandfather meant to him and how his guidance and support had shaped him as a person and an athlete, saying,

broken… never in a million years did i think you’d leave me. you was my role model, i looked up to you, growing up i followed you everywhere you went, and i wanted to be just like you. you were all about business and handled it as such. you were a selfless person and took care of everyone around you and always put everyone before yourself. you touched so many lives and impacted every person you encountered with. you were The King of KC and everybody knew that! you always told me to stay focused and play harder.

Although Caleb’s parents are no longer together and have moved on with their respective partners, Caleb maintains a strong relationship with both of them.
