Sean Mannion’s wife is Megan Lopez, and the couple has built a strong, supportive family life together amid his journey from NFL quarterback to coach.
The former Oregon State standout and NFL veteran, who played nine seasons as a backup quarterback with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, and Seattle Seahawks, is now the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Through it all, Megan has been his biggest supporter.

The two met during their time at Oregon State University, where they both studied.
Megan, a passionate football fan with dreams of becoming a football analyst, grew up in Wilsonville, Oregon.
She is the oldest daughter of Betsy Henley Kusyk and Mike Lopez.
Her father, Mike, was a standout defensive back for the Oregon State Beavers from 1982 to 1985, earning All-Pac-10 honors as a senior with six interceptions.
He was diagnosed with ALS in 1996 at age 49 and sadly passed away in January 2013.
Despite the tough prognosis, Mike far outlived expectations and dedicated much of his later years to his foundation, teamcureals.com.
He coached at a junior college until 1997 and stayed connected with old teammates and rivals, including former Oregon linebacker E.J. Duffy.
Megan has a younger sister named Molly.
She lost her father when she and Sean had just started dating, and Sean has spoken warmly about what a great man Mike was, even though he only met him once.
The couple’s connection to Oregon State football runs deep, both through their college years and Megan’s family legacy.
Sean and Megan tied the knot in 2016, specifically on July 8, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the Oregon Golf Club.
It was a joyful event for the longtime sweethearts, who had been together since their college days.
One heartfelt wedding note captured the moment perfectly: “Sean Mannion, today you’ve found the greatest score of your life in Megan Lopez.“
The couple has three children: two daughters and one son. In March 2020, while Sean was with the Vikings, they welcomed their second daughter during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sean shared a touching reflection at the time, saying,
“It’s something I’m sure years and years later we’ll explain to our daughter like, ‘Hey, it was this really crazy time in the world and the country that was happening when you were born,’ but it doesn’t take away from this being a special time.”

Their family has continued to grow, and Megan remains a constant source of love and encouragement as Sean transitions from player to coach.
They have lived in various places due to Sean’s career, including a period in De Pere, Wisconsin, during his time connected to the Green Bay Packers.
Megan keeps a relatively low profile, but her role as a devoted wife and mother shines through.
She’s been by Sean’s side through the ups and downs of professional football, from draft day excitement to backup roles to his exciting shift into coaching.
As Sean steps into his new role with the Eagles, Megan continues to be the steady, supportive partner who helps him balance family and career.
Their story is one of shared roots in Oregon State football, enduring love, and a growing family.
